The Quest

Bryan's Quest began following two life changing experiences, the passing away of his wife, Faye, from ovarian cancer in 2004 after a courageous battle (Faye and Bryan were together for 35 years) and then his own personal experience with Cancer. He is now in remission, fit and well and taking on all life has to offer.

Soon after recovery from his illness Bryan started restructuring his life. With his Quest now clear and zest for life unquestionable, he established the Oceans of Hope charitable trust with the intention of raising money for Cancer Research and Treatment by competing in high profile solo off-shore sailing races around the world.

Bryan's plan is to attract a team of 'Support crew' sponsors who will initially contribute to the completion of his Class 40 yacht, Epiphany. He will then take on the world's most physically challenging solo/double-handed ocean races and in doing so inspire public support and donations, while empowering those who have been affected by Cancer.

The donations raised from the public during the races will be distributed to registered Cancer societies.

In New Zealand, the Cancer society of New Zealand is the beneficiary.
